The new award-winning documentary, IN THE WHALE, chronicles the journey of Cape Cod lobster diver, Michael Packard, who survived to tell the tale of being swallowed by a humpback whale, and the events that followed when the reclusive fisherman was thrust into the international limelight. Packard’s experience with the whale was covered by media around the world, including pieces in The New York Times and The Washington Post. The film was directed by Boston-based Pulitzer-Prize winning filmmaker David Abel.
